Bavarian Tuning News

January of this year, marked the changing business climate, and Bavarian Tuning changed with it.  Our never ending effort to be proactive, rather than reactive to the needs of our customers, has paid dividends for our customers, both new and old.  We have re-emphasized our performance and preventative maintenance programs. 

We have also redirected our customer service priorities to provide for additional extensive customer consultation and education.  We believe that you have a serious investment in your BMW and that our communication with you regarding your investment is paramount.  You would never let a surgeon operate on you or an attorney represent you without full and complete disclosure.  We at Bavarian Tuning strive to provide you with the same professionalism. You deserve no less.

On July 7, Tiger Racing motored south to Willow Springs Raceway in the Mojave Desert, to contest the 3 hour Dusk to Dark Feature.  Despite limited racing on a track with little previous experience,  Tiger Racing ran strongly throughout the three hour race.

The temperature was above 100 degrees, but the E46 M3 ran perfectly, the drivers preserving tires and brakes to finish in 5th overall and 2nd in class.  See Tiger Racing Highlights here.

Our E-46 Cup Car made its debut in Tiger Racing Colors at Thunderhill.  The 25 hour Enduro was successful in that we finished 8th out of 53 cars.  Despite being sent to the back of the starting grid when race officials failed to record our top 5 qualifying time, our three drivers managed to gain ground and pass all but a handful of  cars during the 25 hour grind. During the darkness of night we burst a power steering hose, and had to make an unscheduled pit stop for repairs.  Getting blackflagged earlier in the race for noisy pipes required another unscheduled pit-stop in which super-trapp inserts were hastily inserted into the collectors to meet race standards.

All In all, we are pleased, though not completely satisfied with the results.  While we were able to keep up with the Factory sponsored teams, and finish in 8th place  in our first race since repairs were effected from an early spring accident at Infineon, we always set our objectives at winning each race.  We set high standards for ourselves on the racetrack just as we set high standards for ourselves when maintaing our client's and customers fine autos.  Check back soon for further details of the race, and future plans for Bavaraian Tuning Motor Sports, Tiger Racing and the rest of our crew.
